Worship with Us

We gather every Sunday to celebrate God’s love through beautiful liturgy, inspiring music, meaningful preaching, and Holy Communion.
At the heart of our life together is worship that is joyful, sacred, and deeply welcoming.

Whether you prefer a quiet early service or a vibrant celebration with music and community, you’ll find a place to pray, connect, and grow in faith.

About Us

At Christ Memorial Episcopal Church (CMEC), we live by a simple but powerful call: Loving God, loving neighbor. As a welcoming community rooted in Christ’s love, we seek to share that love through worship, community, and service.

We are a vibrant, inclusive, and mission-driven congregation where everyone is valued and embraced. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or have been walking with Christ for years, you’ll find a home here. Our worship is grounded in Episcopal tradition and shaped by the gifts and voices of all who gather.

Beyond our doors, CMEC is deeply connected to the wider community. Through outreach programs, local partnerships, and daily acts of compassion, we are committed to making a difference in Danville and beyond. We believe in forming disciples who are empowered to share Christ’s love through action, advocacy, and kindness.

At the heart of everything we do is a desire to grow spiritually, serve faithfully, and build a community where every person can belong, be transformed, and be sent into the world as a sign of God’s love.

Come and be part of a church where faith comes alive through worship, community, and service. We can't wait to welcome you.

The Rev. Lisa Work joined Christ Memorial Episcopal Church as rector in June 2024, bringing with her a passion for loving God and loving our neighbors. With a background in education and community service, she is committed to celebrating the unique fabric of our community and the experiences that connect us. Rev. Work envisions Christ Memorial as a welcoming space to reflect on what it means to love God and love our neighbors - the two greatest commandments as taught by Jesus.
